Who is Norm? And why should you take any notice of Norm’s B2B Lead Generation Blog?
First and foremost, Norm (aka Norman Campbell) walks the talk. He is a recognised thought leader in the field of demand generation and automated business development systems. He’s worked in the industry over twenty years, and he lives and breathes it. He’s also been around long enough to admit that he doesn’t get it right every time – but this doesn’t stop him trying!
In addition to editing the award-winning Down2Earth lead generation newsletter (with 16,400readers), Norm is MD of eMarket2, an outsourced sales and marketing agency, which he owns and operates with his wife, Naomi. Specialising in the B2B technology sector, eMarket2 has a multi-million pound annual turnover and has won campaign awards from the IDM, Clickz and Technology for Marketing.
Norm has been described variously as an ‘obsessive one-man ideas factory’, ‘infuriatingly curious’ and, when it comes to winning new business for his clients, ‘totally unreasonable’. Why unreasonable? Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world; unreasonable people adapt the world to themselves. All progress, therefore, depends on unreasonable people.
To this end, Norm is always the first to challenge the orthodox view. Perhaps this is why he promoted his Dalmatian dog, Mr Flynn, to the post of Top Dog and Client Relationship Manager (job description includes: ‘to meet and greet, track down leads and generally cheer up anyone who is having a bad hair day’).
Before launching eMarket2 in 1999, Norm held several high-profile directorships, including Business Development Director, Acxiom; Sales & Marketing Director, Generator Database Marketing; Sales & Marketing Director, Systemcity.
Born in Northern Ireland 48 years ago, Norm lives with his wife Naomi and their two daughters and, of course, Mr Flynn, their exceedingly spotty Dalmatian rescue dog.
Informed by his Christian faith, Norm is a committed believer in treating others as he would expect to be treated himself.
(And, just in case you were wondering, yes, the dog does have his own business card!)
